Summary: At this point, we honestly feel done to death with killer great white films. But every so often, there comes one with a unique enough premise to keep us interested and once more admire the ferocity of these amazing predators. And sometimes, they don't even have to be near the open ocean to be the worst thing in the water.

History: For young surfer/slacker Nancy Adams, a small beach in Mexico is the perfect getaway place after her mom dies of cancer. But her surfing frolics are cut short when she's intercepted by a rather large great white shark. Soon, she's forced to take refuge on a small rocky island tantalizingly close to the shore. But the shark simply will not leave until it has eaten the woman. It won't be long until Nancy is forced to take more action than just waiting for a miracle to happen.

Notable Kills: Mauls a drunkard, and then leaves him to crawl to shore with his lower half missing.

Final Fate: The game of cat and mouse comes to a head when Nancy ignites a whale carcass with a flare, shoots at the shark with it, briefly sets it on fire, and then lures it into ramming into some sharp debris. The animal is instantly killed upon impaling itself on the metal, and Nancy lives to see another day.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-The fact that there was no reason for the shark to waste its time waiting for just one morsel just makes its actions all the more eerie. It doesn't help that it's a bit bigger than most specimens, and it has the ruthless persistence to boot. Either it saw Nancy as a great magnet for potential snacks, or it was so thoroughly starved that it took a single-target mindset. No matter what the reason, this was one shark that could turn any beach into a bloodbath.

Trivia: -Fittingly, Nancy's actress, Black Lively, is majorly afraid of sharks, to the point where she cannot bring herself to see "Jaws". Thankfully, the shark here was all CGI, so no harm done.

-One of the most popular characters in this film is actually a seagull that Nancy is with. It was played by a couple of them, the most well behaved being one named Sully. The only issue with him was getting the fake blood to stay on him, as he was remarkably insistent on being clean, like how a lot of seagulls are.
